my friend has a fantastic space with nothing in it and a mirrored wall. given access, i decided to fill the space with different transparent and translucent plastics, and project video into that. the video was shot during the same time period.

when i look around, i see things that don't necessarily go together. my twenty-first century computer sits on a desk which could have existed hundreds or thousands of years ago; one wall is brick, adjacent to that plaster; there is a tape measure and a microphone in front of me right now. the footage i shot, of making the installation and wandering around, trying to think of what would go with it - it might not make any sense - but juxtaposition, i think, is the natural order (or lack thereof) of things - so i just let my instinctual impulses pull me whichever way.
